If you look up the word blog on Google it will return 9,070,000,000 search results. It seems like absolutely everyone has a blog. Right now, your grandma is probably blogging her knitting patterns and grandpa is blogging an in-depth comparison of fishing tackle. The blog market is very saturated at the moment and everyday new blogs are created. This fact alone might scare you off from starting a blog, but don’t let it.
Think about why all of these people are blogging. Why would these people put in hours and hours of work writing on seemingly insignificant topics? The answer is simple: blogging fills a need. This need is different for each person, it could be the need to be heard, the need to earn an income or the need to grow a business. Each one of these bloggers has a need that blogging fulfills. Do you have a reason to blog as well? Take a look at the following list of questions:
Do you want to earn passive income online? (Pat Flynn)
Do you want to share your ideas with a large audience? (Tim Ferris)
Do you want to educate, entertain or encourage others? (Ravindra Galhena)
Do you want to advance your career or establish yourself as an expert in your field? (Corinne Mckay)

Did you answer yes to any of these questions?
I’m sure that you can identify with at least one of these desires. The beautiful thing about it is that you can achieve all of these goals at the same time by starting a blog. A blog could have an extremely positive effect on your life and you are just a few minutes away from starting one.
I started a blog because I love writing and I want earn passive income from blogging and ebooks. It literally took me a day to get my blog more or less setup and I quickly began to see results. I know that as long as I am consistent with my blogging that the results will only improve.
I know that you can achieve these same results. Remember that no one is smarter or better than you. Yes, that’s right. No matter what you believe about yourself you have the ability to achieve anything. Thousands of people have earned large amounts of money and achieved wonderful things through blogging. You can do it!
Now, take a second to figure out exactly why you want to start a blog. Write your reason down at the top of a piece of paper. That will be your driving force in creating your blog and you will need to keep in mind every step of the way. Having a good reason to blog is the key to success.
